School Designs

School pupils from Cedar Mount High, Trinity High and Whalley Range High Schools took part in fashion design workshops in November responding to the  fashion brief – create a range of street wear clothing under the WearPeace label.  All pupils produced a number designs. Romy Townend a fashion graduate who helped deliver the workshops, then selected one of each pupils designs and redrew with the technical details added. Romy has been careful to keep the pupils original designs in place

All the designs can be seen under the separate headings of tops, bottoms, dresses and coats.

To design a range of street wear fashion illustrations for the WearPeace fashion brand.

The WearPeace Brand has been established to promote the “save a life not take a life’ message. It is envisaged that all the clothes / accessories will contain a small quantity of decommissioned gun metal or metal from an unused bullet – as designer tags or fashion details, to reinforce the message of every garment purchased will help to take another gun out of circulation.

• The garments should be street fashion/ casual clothing rather than high end fashion design. You can design for either male or female fashion market and should be looking at the youth – 25-ish market. Design something you would feel happy wearing.

• Each garment needs to incorporate the PeaceWear logo, think about where you will place the logo, bearing in mind that it is made of metal, ie zipper pulls.
